Dr. Ed Updegraff was a SaddleBrooke Ranch resident until his death in 2023 at the age of 100. He won the 1981 U.S. Senior Amateur title, played in 35 USGA championships and three Walker Cups. He also took part in six Masters. In 1999, he received the Bobby Jones Award by the USGA, considered the most prestigious off-course honor in American golf. Other Jones award winners include Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Ben Hogan and Nancy Lopez.

2025 Club Championship April 9th & 10th
We could not have asked for two more beautiful days of golf. The weather was perfect, and the course was in great shape. The competition was challenging, and the fellowship was enjoyable. It was a microcosm of everything that is wonderful about golf at SaddleBrooke Ranch and the SaddleBrooke Ranch Men’s Golf Association.
CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT
Bill Borden was as steady as a rock on his way to a second consecutive club championship. He duplicated his first day round, once again recording two birdies, one bogey and fifteen pars for a one under 71. Second place went to Mark Sitek who came in at 2 over the two days, while Jim Harvey finished 3rd with his two-day total of 4 over.
