January 20, 2026, at the Ranch House. He welcomed new Board Members Jack Dyck and Dave Moretto.
- Treasurer Report-Steve Schuster
- Receipts for the year totaled $111,421. This amount includes the maturing $10,000 CD plus $362 of interest. Membership fees generated $17,665 and were $230 below budget. Sponsorships generated $17,100 YTD and were $595 below budget. Shirt Sales Generated $3,560 and were below budget by $2,440. Much of this shortfall was due to having only one shirt to sell versus the two from the prior year. Crew appreciation collections were $7,060 and below budget by $5,044. The MGI receipts were $48,305 and were positive to budget by $2,510.
- Expenses for the year totaled $104,414. Member Luncheons and the Holiday Party cost $28,985 of which $8,037 was related to the 2024 holiday dinner check reissue. Without the holiday dinner, we were $5,356 positive to our planned food budget. Trophies, Awards and Prized totaled $5,109 and were $2,697 over budget. MGI expenses were $47,965 and were positive to budget by $2,079. Crew appreciation expenses were $9,668 and positive to budget by $5,556.
- The $1,660 of crew appreciation funds left over from our 2024 collection were distributed to the crew members and our total amount given to each crew member was $513, We still have $763 to carry over into next year’s crew appreciation as one crew member was terminated shortly before the checks were distributed and we had a late donation that was received after we had paid the crew. Per IRS regulations, the money earmarked for a specific purpose must be spent for that purpose. However, it does not need to be spent in the same year. The other receipt and expense categories have little fluctuation so far on our budget v actual numbers. Steve to discuss with SBRWGA to do their own fund raising separate from the SBRMGA, this way each organization can give a maximum of $599 each.
- With the surplus of MGI funds from our 2025 event, our MGA cash balance includes $4,640 that is earmarked for use by the MGI committee and the 2026 MGI tournament.
- We continue to be in a strong financial position.
- Steve Schuster provided the 2026 Budget for discussion. Steve Schuster made a motion to accept the 2026 Budget. The motion was 2nd by Eric Tayor and unanimously approved.
