Membership in SBRMGA
In Arizona, as in other states, to maintain a handicap at one of the courses requires a sponsoring organization.
For Men at SaddleBrooke Ranch the Men’s Golf Association is the sponsoring organization. We are required to maintain the integrity of the handicap system meaning we monitor posting of scores for the member golfers.
We have the following two forms of membership:
1. Handicap Only: This provides the basic handicap monitoring requirements of the Arizona Golf Association.
2. Full Membership: Our Full Members, in addition to the HO, receive the following benefits:
Note: Full Membership is required to play in the Thursday regular events and Special Events.
To participate in an event, a USGA/AGA handicap index is required.
Membership in the SBR Men's Golf Association is renewed on a calendar basis.

2. Full Membership: Our Full Members, in addition to the HO, receive the following benefits:
- a. Weekly game: may be an individual, team, or partner event computer picked or selected by the member. It’s a shotgun each Thursday with a $5 entry fee and 100% distribution.
- b. Special Events; there are 5 to 6 special events of 2 or 3 days each. These have a $25 entry fee and 100% distribution.
- c. SBRMGA Golf Shirt: Each year we offer a different shirt to our members at approximately a 65% to 75% discount. Prior offerings consisted of Cutter & Buck, Greg Norman and Foot Joy apparel.
- d. Social Opportunities: generally 3 lunches and 2 to 3 beverage socials post special events.
- e. Annual Holiday Social: a dinner, dance and brief awards banquet at the Sol Ballroom.
- f. Member Guest Golf Tournament: a multi-day golfing and social opportunity.
